Severe pain
Call the practice- Take a painkiller (paracetamol 1g) — NEVER aspirin if bleeding.
- Apply cold on the cheek of the painful side (ice pack in a cloth, 15 min max).
- Avoid chewing on the painful side.
- Do not apply clove oil or alcohol on the tooth (gum damage).
- Call the practice — an emergency slot is freed during the day.

Broken or chipped tooth
Call the practice- If a fragment is recovered: keep it in saline solution or milk — NOT water.
- Rinse mouth with lukewarm water without scrubbing the area.
- Apply a sterile compress if bleeding.
- Avoid hot, cold or sugary food.
- See us within 24h to prevent infection or aggravated fracture.

Dental abscess
Call the practice- Recognizable by a painful lump, gum or cheek swelling, sometimes fever.
- NEVER pierce the abscess yourself — infection spread risk.
- Lukewarm salt water mouthwash (1 tsp / glass), 3 times daily.
- Paracetamol painkiller — no anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen) without medical advice.
- Mandatory consultation within 24h: an untreated abscess can become serious.

Trauma (fall, impact)
Call the practice- If a tooth is knocked out: pick it up by the crown (never the root), rinse 10 sec in saline, REIMPLANT it if possible into its socket, or store in milk.
- Critical window is 30 minutes: past this delay, salvage chances drop sharply.
- If heavy bleeding: compress + firm pressure for 10 min.
- If concussion signs (loss of consciousness, vomiting, headache): call emergency services BEFORE coming.
- Call the practice immediately: we direct you to the fastest care path.
⚠ Life-threatening emergency (loss of consciousness, major bleeding, head trauma): call emergency services immediately (119) or go to the nearest hospital BEFORE contacting the practice.
