First dental visit: what you should know

A first dentist visit is rarely trivial — especially if you haven\'t been seen for several years. Here is exactly how it unfolds at Cabinet Dentaire Gloria, so you arrive at ease.

1. Before the appointment

When booking, we ask a few simple questions (reason, pain, history). It is also the right time to mention pregnancy, ongoing medical treatment, or any allergy.

What to bring

  • A photo ID
  • Your previous dental file (X-rays, reports) if available
  • List of current medications
  • Your insurance card if applicable
  • Written questions — so you don\'t forget anything

2. Welcome

On arrival, you settle into a calm atmosphere: coffee, water, reading. No rush. The goal is for you to feel at ease before the exam.

« Our goal is not to treat fast. It is to treat right — and for that, we must understand your dental history. »

3. Consultation with Dr Kenmo

The exchange takes 30 to 45 minutes. We start with an open dialogue (history, concerns, goals), then move on to the full clinical exam: teeth, gums, occlusion, digital X-rays if needed.

4. Personalized diagnosis

We explain what we saw, with annotated photos and X-rays. No jargon — every medical term is translated into plain language. You leave knowing exactly where you stand.

5. Treatment plan

If care is needed, we propose a structured plan: steps, estimated duration, detailed quote. No rushed decisions: take time to think, ask, compare if you wish.

How much time should I plan?

Plan roughly 1h to 1h30 for the first visit. Our tip: block 2h in your calendar so you don\'t have to rush after.

What matters most: arrive relaxed. You are the actor of your care, never a spectator — every decision is yours.
