Filling defective amalgam fillings with aesthetically pleasing composites and crowns

Amalgam: Also known as a "black or gray filling," this is a metal alloy. It is highly visible, darkens the tooth over time, and can create a grayish shadow beneath the enamel.

Composite: This is a tooth-colored resin (white or translucent). It is ideal for small cavities or cosmetic touch-ups. Although it closely mimics enamel, it is more opaque and may yellow or stain over the years.

Zirconia Crown: A high-tech, metal-free ceramic, zirconia perfectly mimics the translucency of a natural tooth. Unlike metal-based crowns, it never reveals a black line at the gum line if the gum recedes. It offers a bright, durable, and extremely natural appearance.
